Overview The RAMS is the third generation in Soaring Circuits line of RAM altimeters These altimeters have been developed to allow the R C pilot to gather and analyze altitude data from model air craft The RAM3 is a barometric altimeter which means it is actually measuring variations in air pressure as your model changes altitude These pressure readings are then converted into alti tude data using a standard time tested algorithm similar to those used by full scale aircraft
